Told us Crisis means Judgement. But who is the Judge?
You may or may not believe one can exist.
Judgement can signify verdict, decision or
Fate, among other things. Yesterday, Fatima:
Priest tried to stab Pope. There was one more announcement
That a new Incarnation of Christ will appear
On TV before June has ended; by which time
Perhaps the dense fog which just now envelopes us
Will have somewhat dispersed, thus revealing at least
Whether fervour for fatherland, freedom or force
Has prevailed in the South Atlantic: ? or foresight.

Il "Pensiero del giorno" trasmesso stamattina
diceva che Crisi significa Giudizio. Ma chi è il Giudice?
Si può credere, ma si può anche non credere che ne esista uno.
Giudizio significa verdetto, decisione o destino,
tra le altre cose. Ieri, a Fatima, un prete
ha tentato di pugnalare il Papa. È stato un altro annuncio
che una nuova Incarnazione di Cristo apparirà sul teleschermo
prima che giugno sia finito; per quell'epoca forse
la nebbia densa che ancora adesso ci avviluppa
si sarà in qualche modo diradata, rivelando così almeno
se nel Sud Atlantico ha prevalso il fervore per la madrepatria,
la libertà, o la forza: o la capacità di vedere lontano.
